This year, the MMMF chose to donate the ribbons from the fans wreath laid in Trudering Munich on 6th February 2022 to the Association of Former Manchester United Players AFMUP in memory of Sir Matt Busby and the fallen Busby Babes.
Chairman Pat Burns presented the ribbons to Alan Wardle, Jimmy Elms and Alan Gowling from the AFMUP during our Charity fundraising dinner at Old Trafford on 11th November 2022.
Pat said “Every year we present the ribbons from the fans wreath, laid by our chosen fans representatives, at the memorial service in Trudering Munich, to a worthy recipient, someone who is connected in some way to the tragedy.
This year, we wish to present them to the AFMUP in memory of Sir Matt Busby and all The fallen Babes, in the hope that they can be displayed in the Busby Bar at your HQ, Northenden Golf Club.
