Last year, Harry Gregg and his family asked the MMMF if it could look into providing some charitable support in Belgrade Serbia, as it had done in Munich. Harry told us that this was hugely important to him personally.
The MMMF liaised extensively with the British Embassy in Belgrade, Red Star Belgrade F.C., Partizan Belgrade F.C. and Manchester United of Serbia (a group of MUFC fans in Belgrade, seeking official Supporters Club status).
Following a recent visit by MMMF Director, Tony Crook and Member, Melissa Moore, we have now identified and selected a deserving children’s charity to support, which meets our fundamental requirements for preserving and enhancing the legacy of The Busby Babes in Munich and now, Belgrade.
It is FK Studenski Grad. This is an underage football club, associated with the University of Belgrade.
