As part of our pledge to preserve the legacy of the Munich 1958 Air Disaster and ensure that this legacy is handed on to future generations, the MMMF will fund an all-expenses paid visit to the site of the memorial in Trudering, Munich, for two people in February 2020.

The two people selected will represent United fans worldwide by taking part in the Supporters Remembrance Ceremony on February 6th 2020. They will be asked to read out the names of the 23 souls who lost their lives as a result of the crash and lay a wreath (which will be provided). Directors and officials from the MMMF will be present throughout to assist.

The nomination process for February 2020 is now open. To qualify, you must never have been to the memorial site(s) at Munich before and you must bring a child or grandchild with you or if under 18, you must bring a parent or grandparent with you.

The following expenses will be covered: Return flights to Munich (5th – 7th February) and two nights hotel accommodation in Munich (5th – 6th February).
